Wireless Microphone Solution – Tutorial for any editing program

Since starting to make videos, I sometimes used an MP3 player to record sounds and voice parts particularly if doing split screen. You can record one part and play it back through an earpiece when recording the second part so you can time it properly. Since I gave my MP3 away to my elderly neighbour I missed this. Then I came accross Tekhseven’s excellent video on how to use your mobile phone as a wireless microphone. I’ll show you how to use the captured audio in Sony Vegas to match up and synch with your video although any editing program should be the same. I use bluetooth facility to send the recorded voice clips from the phone to my laptop. www.youtube.com

@richw4 Well, as I’m doing an art GCSE (starting september) I’m getting a kodak easyshare M575, with 720p recording and all the fancies that I need. Nothing too special, but hopefully I can jam a high capacity card inside and film to my heart’s content =D

I often used two cameras to record an event and used the sound from the camera that had clearer sound, or the one with more environmental sound if that was the effect I wanted… The sound tracks were easy enough to extract from the video, and move around just like you did… Your Sony Vegas is still unfamiliar, but the principle is the same.

Entertaining AND informative! Excellent tips. I always used to clap my hands to make the sink then edit that part out. Boobies works too!

good idea that. i got a toshiba camilio.
and the sound quality is garbage.
even using a dodgy sound recorder feature off a phone is an improvement.
i looked at tehkseven’s idea too.
    it’s all good stuff.
    rock on!!
