  9. DemonKing19 says:

    Your welcome!! :)

  10. DemonKing19 says:

You might have the object selection set – make sure the Pen Tool is set to Paths mode up in the top left hand toolbar, otherwise it’ll make objects instead of selectable paths.

can this be done on GIMP???

  12. DemonKing19 says:

Of course, but the steps to do so will vary from Photoshop – I recommend looking around online for GIMP path tutorials and then you should be able to apply what you learned here in GIMP :)

Hi! How did you transfer only the swirl to the photo of the dancer without transferring the black background as well? When I use the move tool to transfer my swirl to another image, everything gets transferred — including the black background.

  17. g4me0ver4680 says:

you must do the swirl on a new layer you must be doing it on the background or you filling your new layer and not filling the background

  18. LouisianaGatorGirl says:

Okay, thanks for your reply! I appreciate it!

  19. g4me0ver4680 says:

    Glad I could help.

  20. ModernMontagez says:

ok when i do this and i click simulate stroke or watever itz not thick in the middle and thin on the edgez like yours….y is that?

  21. DemonKing19 says:

Its the size of your brush – before you do the stroke with the pen tool, switch over to your brush tool and choose a decent size brush depending on your work space, then switch back to the pen tool and then add the stroke – it should get thicker the larger the brush you use :)

  22. willugoupordown says:

@ModernMontagez when you right click and click stroke path… , make sure the little check box that says “Simulate Pressure” is checked. If you pause it at 1:12 you can see the box I am talking about. That is what causes it to be thin on the edges. He says it very quickly on the video, but he does say it. :)

  23. photoshopuser500 says:

When I’ve clicked Simulate Pressure, and I’m on the brush tool, for some reason the lines fade out. can i fix this?

  24. meganarki says:

man, i followed your video yet my swirl has no pointed edges like yours?
