Gaming Setup and Video Editing Workflow / Process

This video walks you through everything I use to get down and dirty with my gaming and video editing. Enjoy. Below are a few more details about a few of the things mentioned in the video: Dog: Weimaraner – en.wikipedia.org TV: 32″ Sony Bravia LCD 720P HDTV – www.google.com Capture Card: Avermedis USB HD DVR – www.avermedia-usa.com Recording Software: Total Media Extreme 2 (included with DVR) – www.arcsoft.com ** The only downside to this software is that you can only saved recorded videos in .M2TS format and I have only found one build of Sony Vegas that allows you to directly edit the raw recorded file. Otherwise you have to use a converter to change the format before bringing it into Vegas. Editing Program: Sony Vegas 9 (Build 563) – www.sonycreativesoftware.com Image editing: Photoshop CS4 Master Collection – tryit.adobe.com Headphones: Turtle Beach X31′s – www.turtlebeach.com Computer: Dell Studio XPS 16 – www.dell.com Headphones for running: Sennheiser PMX 80 – www.sennheiserusa.com Camera used to record the video: Motorola Droid X – www.motorola.com Program used to record my computer screen: Camtasia – www.techsmith.com

I was thinking about getting an HD PVR to record Reach gameplay since I’m a big Halo player, but I play in 1080p. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do in this situation? I have a laptop, not a PC, btw
