Does Anyone know of any video editing software that is super easy to use?

I am looking for video editing software that you are able to add music, edit and all that jazz. I am a graphic designer and I am pretty computer savvy but new to video editing. Can anyone offer up any help as to what software I could or should go with?
I tried to use Windows Media Player but it will not let me import MOD files… Can I save these as a WMP file??

Photobucket is a great web based and FREE editing tools. The software behind it comes from Adobe who make some of the best commercial ($$$) photo and video editors. Also check out Jaycut which allows you to export and save your videos! If you need/want more features downloading VideoSpin, VideoPad or VideoThang are great options. Still free, but you have to download the software. For under $100 you can buy Adobe Premiere Elements.

There is also new freeware version of Windows Movie Maker that works on Windows Vista, XP and even Windows 7. Microsoft has added and deleted features from each version and this version has all the features from each version plus some extras.

If you’re a Windows user then I guess the free Windows Movie Maker is the easiest place to start. It lets you do transitions and add text, adjust the volume and mix with music and then export to WMV or AVI.

There are many, Windows movie maker is the easiest, and the dumbest- it’s easy, but isn’t worth sh** as it allows only wmv format and quality and render speed is poor.

Sony creative studio (google it) is quite decent and easy to use, with good range of options.

Ulead studio is easy, and has an advanced (optional) interface too if you want.

I’d not recommend movie maker, and if you are computer savvy, don’t worry, even a 12 year old kid can get these to work ;)

Hope that helped, and all the best with your work!
